About Russ

I am Attorney Russ DeMott. I strive to present relevent, readable, articles about real estate law for real estate agents, brokers, home inspectors, mortgage loan officers, real estate appraisers, termite inspectors, surveyors and anyone else who’s interested. No, I don’t know everything , but I will research my content well, or let you know when I have not done much research in a particular area.

I am an attorney with the firm Wyckoff & DeMott, P.C. I am a 1993 graduate of the University of South Carolina
School of Law. My practice consists of mainly real estate and bankruptcy law, as well as litigation.

I began practicing law in 1995 after clerking for a circuit court judge. Since then, I have represented clients in the areas of real estate, bankruptcy, family law, and in various litigation matters. I am licensed in both state and federal courts in South Carolina and Michigan.

I live in Summerville with my wife and three children. In my spare time, I spend time with my family. I enjoy reading, hiking, skeet shooting, and gardening.
